Here at Balance Psychology, we provide evidence-based, collaborative treatment approaches specific to your individual strengths and needs to help you heal and adjust to difficult life circumstances. Both therapist and client are actively involved in the process of improving quality of life, reducing symptom frequency and duration, and alleviating mental pain or distress.
Our holistic approach may help you feel understood and heard.
Changing habits and developing insight into oneself can take time, but the good news is that being open and talking through your thoughts and feelings may bring lasting relief!

Healing young adults and children often involves the help of guardians, parents, and school providers. We provide evidenced-based, individualized therapeutic treatment that strives to guide the child in their development. We support ourchild clients as they learn to identify and cope with themselves and any strong emotions or behaviors.
Younger children are often lacking in the verbal expressive skills necessary for more traditional "talk-therapy". Thus other evidenced-based forms of treatment such as play-therapy, art therapy, and other forms of creative expression may help the child learn about themselves and improve coping.
We provide evidenced-based psychological treatment for families and couples. Using a holistic, collaborative approach, we seek to identify the needs and goals of each client (the family unit or couple is viewed as one client). To do so, we identify strengths, and examine the functioning as a whole.
Family therapy may focus on improving communication, resolving conflict, improving parenting skills, improving boundaries, or modifying affect or behavior of family members. The goals for couples may focus on conflict resolution, communication functioning, sexual functioning, work-life balance, elder-care or parenting issues. This will be determined by clients' individual struggles and goals.
Note: If you are already enrolled in a family treatment or couples treatment program and wish to seek individual therapy services, you will be referred to another provider due to ethical constraints.
